The Bear and The Rabbit is a short film me and some friends did a few months ago. It is premiering at the LA Shorts Fest, this Saturday July 24 at 1:00 pm at the Laemmle Sunset 5. I went to Chicago for the first time...what a great city! My sister was there on business and had a few days to hang out, so I flew up to say hello and check out the city with her. The Black Apples and The Warlocks performed at Spaceland on Saturday night. I got to shoot some promo shots for the Black Apples backstage and even checked out their after party in Silverlake...not a bad night. I really like both of these LA based bands. Olvera Street is the oldest part of Downtown Los Angeles. There are tons of Mexican vendor stands lining the tiny street. My friend Mikey went there and bought three Lucha Libre masks. I shot my friend Caitlin Custer, an amazing actress, and Tom Hill, the lead singer from Purple Melon. My friends Matthieu and Elfee Duquette were the stylists. We all piled into a car and drove around Silverlake & Downtown LA. When we saw a cool location we'd stop the car, get out and shoot. We hit up the .99 cent store, skid row and an empty tunnel.

Last night I went to the Knitting Factory in Hollywood to see my good friends Gautam Dua aka Gotham Green, Haps and Icon perform. They opened up for Aceyalone and Myka Nine. I went to Brazil to work on a photo shoot with photographer Nino Munoz for French Glamour, got to see a Sao Paulo Fashion Week show, ate some amazing authentic Brazilian food and went to a late night house party. The crew stayed at the amazing Hotel Unique, which I highly suggest for travelers going to Sao Paulo. It is a ship-shaped structure modeled after the inside of a watermelon...very
